We use a 5 stage process which includes the Hot Water Extraction method to professionally clean carpets, sometimes known as Steam Cleaning or Low Moisture Carpet Cleaning which leaves your carpet dry in approximately 1 hour. We also provide eco dry carpet cleaning. Typically this is suited to low profile carpets and carpets found in a commercial or business environment where the carpets need to dry straight away. All our technicians are trained in using hot water extraction and low moisture professional techniques. All our HWE machines are top of the range, each machine is 600psi powered by mutiple Lamb Ametek 3-stage vacuum motors. This not only gives you better soil extraction but also faster drying times, our machines can be left outside with the power to clean 100ft from the machine. All HWE machines are fitted with Teflon slotted glides, this enables us to to glide over your carpet and leave your carpet much dryer. Before any cleaning begins, we carry out a survey on your carpet to determine the fibres (natural or man made), the backing and finally a bleed test to ensure the carpet doesn't discolour. The survey is vital which will then tell us which cleaning method is best and what products to use.

Before steam cleaning begins, the whole carpeted area needs to be thoroughly vacuumed using a slow speed. The vacuum cleaners we use can not be bought in the high street, they are powerful twin motor Sebo machines. We then use a spotter for stains and then a pre spray which is a special natural chemical that helps to dislodge the soil particles from the carpet. The pre spray is then mechanically agitated using a Rotary or Oscillating Pad machine. This professional method for agitation will massage the eco cleaning solution deep into the carpet fibres to assist in breaking down the dirty marks and soil in the carpet. Once the pre spray has had time to work we then begin the hot water extraction. Our powerful 600psi HWE steam cleaning machines will flush the carpet with hot water whilst at the same time vacuum the hot water from the carpet. This is when any broken down soil, dust mites etc are sucked from the carpet. The area will then be vacuumed again to remove as much moisture as possible. The final process will involve the carpet pile reset. Before we leave your property our aim is to leave your carpets as dry as possible, typical drying timings are up to 2 hours or 1 hour for Low Moisture cleaning. All our products are made from natural sources making them green and eco friendly.

We prefer to use eco friendly green chemicals, which in our opinion is both safe for the family and reduces our carbon foot print. They are a professional natural concentrate, formulated for use in hot water carpet soil extraction cleaning. It penetrates and suspends soils for complete extraction and prevention of re-soiling. The majority of carpet cleaning professionals will use a chemical to pre spray and then another chemical to flush your carpet. At HJ Cleaners we only use one Eco Green Natural product which is pre sprayed on the carpet and mechnically massaged deep in to the carpet pile. After a 15-30 minute dwell time, the technology used in the product alllows us to flush the carpet using fresh clean water. This dramatically slows down the re-soiling over time which extends the life of the carpet and means the carpet doesn't have to be cleaned as often.
